Hailed by the English Rural Housing Association as "a best case for rural housing" (Essex Chronicle - 28/11/08).

Contracted by a land owner, keen to provide affordable homes to his rural community, we carried out feasibility studies on various locations around the village of East Hanningfield.

Identifying a site which met the Housing Corporation's strict guidelines, Colne Housing Association joined our team.

Achieving support for this rural housing scheme at both parish and borough levels, planning permission was granted for a twelve unit development of 2, 3 and 4 bed homes.

Constructed in 2006, the scheme was officially opened by Lord Hanningfield.
